Problems with the new update (late October 26)

The new editing mode is horrible. The interface is too clean, there is no fixed toolbar from which you can quickly see the typography, font size, colors, etc. but you have to click element by element and use a very unintuitive floating toolbar.
I suppose there will be people who like to work with a minimalist interface, but directly removing the option of having a toolbar to use as in any other office automation tool that comes to mind cannot be considered a wise move.
I repeat. Good that there is the option to remove the toolbar for those who prefer it. Wrong to remove it from all users.
I don't think there's a single designer who works with Genially on a daily basis who likes these changes. Go back or allow us to anchor the toolbar, or set up a classic editor, please.

I am wasting a lot of time with this new version, which is completely counterintuitive. Has anyone found a way to reinstate the toolbar?

Infortunately, I can't be sutisfied with the latest updates! I spend much time editing my gwniallies now and the interface is not intuitive at all. Not to mention I wasn't warned or asked for any agreement to these changes. I appreciate all the new features and tools but I would like to keep the entire interface as it had been before. Now I need to learn how to use the platform instruments sfrom scratch and it slows down all of my working process

Not to mention that you can no longer drag elements which renders many of our previous creations and escape rooms moot and unusable.

I spent half an hour trying to figure out how to embed an external link. A hidden menu inside another menu? Wonderful idea! Really, don't they do focus groups or something to test these things?

The text highlight mode is no longer directly accessible, such as size or font for example, you must now click on “Effects”, then “Format”, then on the brush. If you click next to it, you have to start all over again because the text to be highlighted is no longer selected.

I don't like the new, unintuitive changes at all

The last changes they made to the interface were a mistake. It's much more complicated, you have to search and search to find things that were previously in the toolbar that appeared at the top. I'm editing a work for my students and I can't find where to change the typography, font size, line spacing... it was easier before.

New update is terrible-tool bar issues

Not having the tool bar at the top is taking me twice as long to edit my text in my slides. I have to click on each box and then the floating bar does not have all the tools. I have to click on settings and then the box opens on the right that contains my tools. The compact buttons with no text is also not helpful. Why would you make it so it takes longer to do my work? I am a teacher and I use this every day and have slideshows that are 20 slides in length on average. If It were just a couple of slides a day, I could get used to it. This is not helpful at all that we can't put the bar back where it belongs and pin it there.

Problem with edition

Hello,
I have noticed that the text editing interface in my Genially editor has changed unexpectedly.
Previously, when selecting a text box, I had a horizontal toolbar with editing options. Now, most options appear in a panel on the right, and I can no longer find all the tools I used before.
This happens in all my presentations, including older ones. I have refreshed the page, reset the browser zoom and reopened presentations, but the interface remains the same.
Could you please confirm whether this is a recent update and whether there is a way to restore the previous toolbar layout?
Thank you for your help.

YES! It takes me twice as long now to edit my slideshows for my classes without having the toolbar there. I also posted about this. We need to be able to put it back and pin it if we want the toolbar there.

I am also finding the new interface very frustrating and would advocate for a return to the previous version. If that's not possible, then I would encourage Genially to bring back the fixed toolbar, allow users to choose between using a simplified or a more complex interface, and reduce the number of layers under which the various tools/settings are now hidden.
I understand interface changes can be an important part of fulfilling company goals, providing new features, and continuing to innovate. Sometime re-learning tool features is unavoidable for users.
However, beyond the learning curve and the frustrating of having to re-learn your own project mid-build, I am finding the new interface much slower to work in (even once I've learned the new location of frequently-used features). It feels like there are more clicks, sub-menus, and mouse movements required.
